Founder Principal of BHARAT COLLEGE OF PERFORMING ARTS Acharyaa Pratishtha, has attained exemplary proficiency in ‘laya’, ‘footwork’, ‘chakkar’ (pirouettes) and above all ‘Bhaava’ (expressions) and through her performance at various prestigious dance festivals through out the world has carved special place for herself among the performers of kathak dance.
As a
Kathak Guru she has trained many students worldwide, Principal of
Bharat College of performing Arts Acharya Pratishtha is even sent
to Johannesburg and later Jakarta through ICCR, Ministry of
External Affairs as Kathak &Yoga guru cum
Performer for the promotion of both the art
forms.
At times when kathak lost its roots of storytelling and became more popular as a court dance Acharya Pratishtha did her specialization in story telling form of kathak and came out as the first ever Indian classical dancer motivating the Kathak lovers through first ever classical dance show “Nritya Naad” at Zee Jagran channel thrice every day . She has contributed in reforming the traditional story telling form of kathak through television shows, stage performances and dance dramas.

at National School of Dance she combined
Kathak with Yoga, which came out as a divine
dance.
